First we get rid of ...
Just saw a TV ad from a law firm seeking to capitalize on the government's program to stop waste and abuse. It's aimed a employees who witness suspected fraud in government contracts and offers a reward to those reporting it.
This firm offers a free consultation to the employees who want to report the fraud. Of course, the lawyers will take a hefty chunk out of any reward; a chunk they don't really deserve because they won't do anything an employee couldn't do him- or herself.
Are the people in country really that greedy; that they want a piece of someone else's pie for doing nothing?
Sadly, yes.
