Somebody must love them ...

... because there's so many of them.

I started this blog just to give myself an outlet on the different things in life that interest me. But life can be messy and take turns we don't anticipate, but perhaps should have seen coming.

For example, there is the following exchange in the comments section of a recent post on this blog:

Notice how with my response I tried to defuse the situation with a bit of subtle humor by agreeing. Did this satisfy Mr. the-one-called-leo? No, it appears to have enraged him. Check the sarcasm of his "apology" which is soon followed by ranting. Oh, and proof reading is not one of Mr. the-one-called-leo's strengths. Rarely do mad dogs stop and analyze their ravings.

What was my post about that so inflamed the passions of Mr. the-one-called-leo?

I subscribe to a variety of e-newletters, both left and right, about the political situation in the United States. One of these happens to be from BuzzFlash.com. It wasn't something I particularly agreed with, I just found it interesting and wanted to share with those who are not subscribers. Scroll down to March 20 and you'll find the post. I'll wait here ...

Are you back? Good.

Now is there anything that I said that could be construed as inflamatory? I just made a bad pun about their criticizm as "beating around the bush." Is there anything in there that indicates I agreed with what they were saying? Is there anything in there that indicates my political stance? No, didn't think so.

It seems like Mr. the-one-called-leo is pro-war and thinks that everyone who disagrees with his views are "pissy ass cowards." I am neither pro- nor anti-war in a general sense. Unfortunately, there are necessary wars (many of which are fought without the general public's knowledge) and unnecessary wars, much like the current situation in Iraq. That statement will probably enrage Mr. the-one-called-leo even more, but that can't be helped. He has to take responsibility for his own reactions. Perhaps he should check with his physician and have his medications adjusted.

My advice to Mr. the-one-called-leo: get a life, dude, before you stroke out.

BTW: I am adding a link to buzzflash.com to my template in honor of "pissy ass cowards" everywhere.
